“If Good Men Do Nothing, Evil Will Prevail”—Why You as a Christian should Seek Political Office and Other Power Domains
I have been wrestling with a notion of The Place for My Own personal ambitions. Questioning whether or not seeking a position of power is supported by Grace, or given consonance by God. Many would argue that Christians should do nothing, obey authority, and seek nothing in the way of Power or Dominance. This is why Christian Nationalism is so hotly debated in the very conscience of millions of thinking Christians. They do not believe that it is Godly to seek High Office in politics, or power in Worldly affairs. The question really becomes very clear and simple, through all the murkiness, when one goes back to the quote in the title: “If Good Men Do Nothing, Evil Will Prevail.”
Chris Langan answered this very question and reformulated the good old saying as such: “[remaining passive to authority] amounts to surrendering to evil, which is the passive counterpart of actively doing evil.” In this vein let us flesh-out this issue in a stark comparison of contrasts.
