That We should live inside of Worship Music: In Fellowship, Cling to the Coming of the Lord
I love music, including writing and composing simple ballads which sing of the glory of Christ.
I used to think that time, and the experience of the passing of time was replete with bad idylls and pride of life idolatry and plain sinful quality (that slow drag and inane category of phenomenological experience akin to the nihilism of the show ‘Breaking Bad’ where evil simply manifests and is seen in its malignant existential). This experience of time and phenomenon is passing away in my life, my affections are changing just at the right time. And though I am afraid at what is going on in the world today, especially in Ukraine-Russia and in Israel-Middle East, I know that Christ is coming and that He will establish His personal rule in and on the material world with His physical presence. I know that He is coming back and I feel that it is very soon, Him in the Glorious Body in His Kingly Robes and with Sword and Divine Judgement—to administer His Kingdom over the Earth with the Saints.
This being said, how are we to comport ourselves to the times for everything up to and including withdrawal from the world?
I just spent (tonight) a few hours at a men’s group at my church, and we men have set in our hearts that we are steadfast and instructed by the word of god, of which satan cannot prevail. I was filled with hope in the presence of two of our pastors and 13-15 men in our company, we will live together to see Christ and we will suffer with groanings yet strengthened in fellowship with each other and in seeing our flock united and saved under the Shepard of Our Living God. This even after the all-pervasive encroaching of the anti-Christ and Spirit of Fear everywhere over the world, in the sinful culture, the near fatal martyrdom of Bishop Mari Mari Emmanuel caught live on camera, and the snuff films that are on twitter and all over the news and wars in the holy land seeming to breathe out prophecy of the end times and of the beast and time of tribulations (I recommend deleting twitter from your phone, it is awful). Here is my recommendation if it means anything in your life….
I think it is this. It is time to start composing worship music. I have tried my best in my practice to make cool and profound songs in worship, my Martin acoustic guitar is my harp from which I can praise the Lord.
You must live inside of this metaphysic and this embodied ethic, not the naked facticity of luciferian power grab but rather inside of praise and worship music; let the Lord catch you singing his praise in glad and joyous heart. Good tidings for your family and faith community.
As my dear friend at church expressed to me, we Christians do not seek power, our flesh does and did and will, yet we in the spirit seek Justice, and the justice that can only be administered by God in His Person and by His Hand.
As Pastor Doug Wilson told Tucker Carlson, “There can’t be a political solution to the crises gripping the West,” he was explaining that the culture and powers that be are too far gone and too entrenched to be overcome by human power. No matter what our movement does, it will not be by our hands that we are delivered. But now rather, it is time to ready yourself for the coming Personal Presence of the Lord Jesus Christ coming back. I feel it in my heart, soul and bones. He is coming.
The best form of being for us is to not succumb to a spirit of fear but rather of Love and Worship. Start singing holy songs, be kind and gracious to your neighbors and find a faith community to belong to. Cling to the coming of the Lord. Jesus knows your name, He will establish himself in Jerusalem and administer His government of the Saints over the Earth for 1,000 years, not symbolically, not through us as avatars or instruments, but in His person with the angels and we standing in wordless awe and worship.
Sing a song glad in heart, joyous and to the Full Worship of the Lamb Who was slain, worthy is His sacrifice and glory be to his rule. Sing now, bright song, sing now – Gregory Mathew Wilford.
